Kodi is a media player that can only reach its full potential with compatible add-ons. The good news is that there are hundreds of add-ons for all kinds of needs and purposes. Although video add-ons are the most popular, Kodi also supports several useful and easy to maintain add-ons that make this media player more efficient. The only difficulty is finding the right supplement for your needs.
Most of us usually look for each addition individually. If you have a lot of addons to install, this method can be cumbersome at best. Fortunately, you don’t have to do that anymore. You can install Kodi Fusion, the source of a variety of repositories and addons. Last year, the Fusion addon was shut down for several months. But now he’s back and even better than before.
I will now show you how to add the Fusion source to Kodi. We will also learn how to install the Indigo addon, which is then the source of a large number of addons. Later we will also see how to install repositories with Fusion. Read on!
Allow installation of third-party add-ons
The first thing you need to do is allow the installation of third-party add-ons by enabling the Unknown Sources option. Here’s how you can do it:
- Open Kodi
- Open the Settings option from the Home screen by clicking on the cog icon in the top left corner below the Kodi logo.
- Tap System Settings.
- Click Add-ons in the left pane and check Unknown Sources on the right.
- When the following warning appears, press Yes. Fusion is a reliable and proven source.
To install Fusion on Kodi 17.6 Krypton
Fusion for Kodi is not really an add-on, but a source from which you can download various repositories and dozens of addons. So first we will learn how to add a Kodi Fusion source, then we will see how to install addons like Indigo from there.
Attention KODI users: please read before continuing
Kodi addons / modules offer unlimited streaming content, but can also get you in legal trouble if you get caught watching movies / TV shows / sports for free. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect a VPN when streaming online. A good Kodi VPN can hide your identity, bypass government surveillance, block content, and ISP throttling (which also contributes to buffer-free streaming).
I use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device, including the Amazon FireStick. Get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plans. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Merged repositories and addons are further divided into three categories, namely:
- get to work–
We will continue to investigate the source of this merger. But let’s start by installing the Kodi Indigo addon, which is available in beginning-here.
To install the Indigo addon on Kodi
Indigo is the most popular add-on available through the Fusion installer. So this will be the first thing we install from Fusion for Kodi. We will also explore the Kodi Indigo addon together.
Indigo is a versatile addon that offers many tools and utilities and adds many features to Kodi. Indigo is best known as an addon installer for Kodi. This addon allows you to install dozens of applications from its library in different categories, including Fusion TVAddons, Movie Addons, etc.
With Indigo, installing add-ons becomes very easy. You can get any addon from the library by clicking a button. You can also install an addon from a zip file saved on the Internet by specifying the URL of the file.
Here is how to install the Indigo addon.
STEP 1: On the Kodi home screen, click on the Add-ons button on the left, and then click on the Package Installer icon on the top left. Now click on Install from zip file. When you see the list of added sources, click Merge.
STEP TWO: As we have already seen, the merger falls into three categories. Click here to get started.
STEP THREE: You should now see a zip file named plugin.program.indigo-4.0.3.zip. The numbers at the end of the file name may vary depending on the version that was released. At the time of writing this is version 4.0.3.
Click on this zip file.
STEP 4: Now wait for the Indigo add-on installation notification. This message appears in the top right corner.
STEP 5: Go back to the Kodi home screen and go to Add-ons > Video Add-ons. You can find Indigo in the list of addons.
You can also access Indigo from the Add-ons > Program Add-ons menu, since Indigo is also a maintenance and utility program.
To use the Indigo add-on installation tool
Open Indigo under Add-ons. As you can see in the image below, Indigo offers a number of features and options. It has an installation wizard, addon installer, maintenance tools and more.
Since the addon installer is the most popular option, let’s take a look at it. In the list of available options, click on Addon Installer.
Indigo gives you several options for installing addons, as shown in the image below. Featured add-ons show the most downloaded add-ons. You can also view addons by category, such as video addons, audio addons, software addons, etc.
Open all options and explore them further.
Indigo also allows you to install addons that are not in the library. You need a link to the zip file. Select the Install zip file from online link option and enter the URL of the zip file. Indigo will install the addon without any problems.
That’s pretty much it with the Indigo addon. Now let’s take a closer look at the Fusion installer.
Before you start streaming video with Kodi addons or modules, I want to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and the government. This means that streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, live broadcasts and sports) can lead to legal problems.
Fortunately, there is a reliable way to hide all your streaming activities from your ISP and the government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN masks your original IP address and helps you bypass Internet monitoring, ISP restrictions, and geographic content limitations.
Personally, I use and recommend ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all types of applications and streaming devices.
OPINION: We do not encourage copyright infringement. But what if you accidentally upload content from an illegal source? It is not always easy to distinguish between a legal and an illegal source.
So before you start streaming on Kodi, read here how to get VPN protection in 3 easy steps.
Step one: Purchase your ExpressVPN subscription HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This means you can use it for free for the first 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the service (which is unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step two: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN application on your streaming device. If you are using a FireStick, I have included the exact steps below, starting with step 4.
Step three: Click on the power icon to connect to the VPN server. That’s it. Now your connection is secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
The steps to install Kodi VPN on Fire TV devices are described below. If you have other broadcast devices, follow steps 1 to 3 above.
Step four: Sign up for ExpressVPN HERE (if you are not already a subscriber).
Step 5: Go to the Fire TV Stick home screen. Click the Search button and then the Search option (see figure below).
Step six: Type expressvpn into the search bar and select when it appears.
Seventh step: Click on the Download button.
Step 8: Open the ExpressVPN application and log in using the username and password you created when you purchased your ExpressVPN subscription.
Step 9: Click on the power icon to connect to the VPN server. That’s it. Now your FireStick is protected with the fastest VPN.
To install repositories with Fusion on Kodi
Indigo is not the only add-on that can be installed through Fusion. In fact, Fusion has a huge collection of repositories of all kinds. I will now show you how to access and install the Fusion repository library.
Once on the Kodi home screen, open Add-ons and click on the Package Installer icon in the top left corner. Now click on Install from zip file. Then click on the Fusion resource we added earlier. As mentioned, you will see the following three options.
This time click on kodi-rest. This is where all the Fusion depots are located.
The common depository is further divided into three categories:
- English language
You can explore the relevant repositories in each category. Click on z. B. in English and you get a list of all repositories available in English.
Similarly, you can find all repositories in international languages by clicking International.
Click on the zip file of the repository you want to install, and Fusion will install it for you on Kodi.
Adding Fusion to Kodi seems like a good idea. It worked very well for me. I can get most of the add-ons I need from one of the Fusion host repositories. I also installed the Indigo addon, which allows me to install any addon that is not part of the Fusion library. Fusion for Kodi is especially recommended for those who regularly install addons. I hope this article has been helpful to you. If you have any questions or comments about Fusion Kodi, let me know in the comments section below.
