A recent edit made to Google search by the company’s engineers means more people can now edit their business profile on the Google+ website. The new feature is also available for profile editing for individuals in places such as Canada and Australia. The feature is available globally, and the most recent version rolled out in these countries today.
Google has been working hard to make sure your Google+ business profile is a reflection of your actual business. Now, as part of this work, Google is adding a way for you to edit your business description, phone number, and website.
Google now offers businesses more ways to change the information that appears in search results without leaving Search or Maps. It is an extension of features introduced by Google last year that allow businesses to edit basic information and send messages to customers from search results. Google is giving restaurant owners the ability to place takeout and delivery orders directly from their business profile in Google Search and Google Maps. In addition to the ability to manually add product information to store profiles via search and maps, eligible retailers in the U.S. can automatically add all products available in-store to their profiles by signing into Pointy directly from Google Search.
